The jewel of Domaine de la Clapière — a 100% Syrah from the Pays d'Hérault that showcases the full potential of this noble variety on the estate's silt and calcareous clay slopes. Dark, luminous black in appearance. The nose opens with mineral notes of pencil lead and soot, evolving into zan liquorice, blackcurrant, blackberry, black pepper and Greek-style olives. On the palate, dense yet velvety tannins deliver a full, long and remarkably elegant finish. Cellaring potential of 7–9 years. Pair with duck fillets or filet mignon with olives.
